The Blue Jacket

Anna wakes up on a cold Saturday morning. She looks in her closet. She does not have a warm jacket. She decides to go shopping in the city center. She checks the weather forecast and sees more cold days ahead.

Anna takes the bus to a big clothes shop. The shop is bright and clean. Music plays softly. Anna walks to the jacket section and looks at many colors. Many people walk between the racks of clothes, looking for good deals.

A shop assistant smiles at her. "Can I help you?" she asks. Anna says, "Yes, please. I need a warm jacket for winter." The assistant shows her three jackets: a black one, a green one, and a blue one. The assistant says, "You can try on any jacket you like."

Anna tries on the black jacket first. It is too big. Then she tries the green jacket. It is too small. Finally, she tries the blue jacket. It fits perfectly. The sleeves feel the right length, and the material feels warm against her skin.

Anna looks in the mirror. She loves the blue color. The jacket is warm and soft. "This is the one," she says with a big smile. The shop assistant agrees that the color suits her very well.

The shop assistant checks the price. The jacket costs forty dollars. Anna thinks it is a good price. She takes out her wallet and pays for the jacket. The assistant wraps the jacket neatly in tissue paper before giving it back.

"Thank you very much," says Anna. "Have a nice day!" replies the assistant. Anna leaves the shop with a happy feeling. She is very excited to wear her new jacket. She already imagines wearing it to work next week.

Outside, the wind is cold, but Anna does not feel cold anymore. She puts on the blue jacket right away. She walks home slowly and enjoys the winter afternoon. She feels ready for the cold winter days ahead.
